Privacy Policy

Overview

Basecare Health Co. ("Basecare," "we," "us") operates the Basecare membership platform at getbasecare.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site and your Basecare account, and how we use and share it.

This policy covers Basecare's own membership platform. It does not cover clinical or health records, which are created and held by Altro Health, our clinical partner, inside its own portal. Those records are governed by Altro Health's own privacy notice and by our HIPAA Notice, which explains how information is divided between the two systems.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Account details, such as your name, email address, and password.
• Billing information, processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — Basecare does not store your full card number.
• Your membership tier (Core or Premier) and plan selections.
• Anything you send us directly, such as support messages.

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser information, IP address, and general location.
• Pages viewed, links clicked, and referring URLs.
• Cookies and similar technologies, including through Google Analytics.

Information from third parties

• Altro Health may confirm your active membership status and tier so it can apply your Basecare member pricing. This exchange does not include your diagnoses, treatment details, or other clinical information.
• Stripe shares payment confirmations and subscription status with us.

How We Use Information

• Create, maintain, and secure your Basecare account.
• Process membership billing through Stripe and manage subscription changes.
• Apply your correct member pricing when you use services through Altro Health's network.
• Communicate with you about your membership, including service and billing updates.
• Monitor, maintain, and improve the Site and troubleshoot errors.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics and standard cookies to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the Site may not work as intended if you do.

How We Share Information

We share information with the service providers that help us run the Basecare platform, and in the limited circumstances below. We do not sell your personal information.

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Supabase — secure hosting, authentication, and database infrastructure.
• Sentry — error monitoring, to help us find and fix bugs.
• Google Analytics — aggregate site usage analytics.
• Altro Health — limited membership and pricing verification only, as described above.
• Law enforcement or regulators, where required by law or to protect Basecare's rights.
• A successor entity, if Basecare is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your membership is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations and resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account as described below.

Your Rights & Choices

• You can review and update most account information directly from your account portal.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@getbasecare.com.
• You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws — such as the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" (we do not sell personal information). Contact us at privacy@getbasecare.com to exercise these rights.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with an updated "Last updated" date.
